Job title: Counsellor Full time, Monday – Friday
Rhoserchan is looking for an enthusiastic and dynamic person to join our counselling team. Our ideal candidate will have a thorough understanding and acceptance of the 12-Step programme and extensive experience of working with clients who suffer from chemical dependency. Persons who are themselves in abstinent recovery from chemical dependency are welcome to apply provided they have been in recovery for 4 years or more.
A Diploma in Counselling is a requirement for this post.
The successful applicant will be based in the First Stage unit but may be required to work at times in Second and Third Stage. A willingness to be flexible and to work as part of a team committed to providing a service of excellence to all Rhoserchan clients is necessary.
Duties will include:

One-to-one counselling
Facilitating Group Therapy
Delivering workshops and lectures
Carrying a case load of up to 6 First Stage residents
Implementing care plans and keeping case notes
Liaising with Care Managers and writing reports
Having input into residents’ Care Plans
Transporting clients to appointments
 
A full driving licence is necessary, and the ability to work with residents in Welsh is highly desirable.  Rhoserchan is an equal opportunity employer.

Job title: Weekend and Relief Counsellor (part time)
Rhoserchan is looking for an enthusiastic and dynamic person to join our counselling team. Our ideal candidate will have a thorough understanding and acceptance of the 12-Step programme and extensive experience of working with clients who suffer from chemical dependency. Persons who are themselves in abstinent recovery from chemical dependency are welcome to apply provided they have been in recovery for 4 years or more.
A Diploma in Counselling is a requirement for this post.
The successful applicant will be required to provide cover when a member of the counselling team is on annual leave or extended sick leave. S/he will based in the First Stage unit but may be required to work at times in Second Stage. Some weekend working will be required. A willingness to be flexible and to work as part of a team committed to providing a service of excellence to all Rhoserchan clients is necessary.
